Ian Batchelor

Owner, Photographer, Private Guide

Ian BatchelorIan was born with a passion for Africa, adventure and safaris. After completing his schooling and University education he chose to follow his heart and has guided and managed safari camps throughout East and Southern Africa. During his fourteen years in Tanzania and East Africa, Ian worked with and ran private mobile tented safaris, both as a manager and guide.

Returning to Zimbabwe in 2009, Ian became a partner and shareholder in three safari camps, one in Botswana and two in Zimbabwe. After selling his interest in the business in 2014 he continued with his guiding and photography throughout East and Southern Africa. Ian’s love of the great expanse and wilderness of Zimbabwe, especially the diversity of the Savé Valley Conservancy in the south eastern lowveld, drove the decision with his wife Nonnie to develop a private seasonal tented experience based on the original East African concept of the  mobile classic safari., something special and intimate under canvas with a unique flair.

Ian is a qualified and very experienced Professional Guide and an avid wildlife photographer.
